- 1 package Duncan Hines pineapple cake mix (don't use any other cake mix)
- 1 package vanilla instant pudding
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup crisco oil
- 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Directions:
- Grease and flour tube pan. Place 8 cherry halves on bottom of pan. Sprinkle nuts over cherries. Pout in batter. Bake 375 F; 50 minutes to an hour
- Combine 1/2 stick of margarine, melted with 1/4 cup of sugar, one jigger rye whiskey.
- After cake has cooled 5 minutes, drizzle 1/2 of above mixture on warm cake. wait 15 minutes, turn cake upside down onto plate. Drizzle remainder of mixture over cake. let cool.
- If unable to find cake mix, use one box yellow cake mix, and one teaspoon pineapple flavoring.
